Booking terms, cancellation and liability rules

Booking Terms

Property address: Csendzug Vendégház, Keresztháti üdülősor, Békésszentandrás 5561, Hungary Host & correspondence: Valach Ágnes — [email protected] Reservation & payment: A booking becomes valid only after you receive written confirmation and the host receives 100 % of the rental price. Full payment (by Stripe card or bank transfer) must arrive within 24 hours of the provisional booking or the dates will be released. Lead‑guest requirements: The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and present government‑issued ID for every guest at check‑in, as required by Hungarian law. Rental period: Check‑in from 15:00 (HU time); check‑out by 11:00. Earlier or later times may be agreed in writing but do not change these terms for confirmed bookings. Security / damage deposit: No deposit is collected in advance, but guests are fully liable for any damage or loss and will be invoiced for the cost of repair or replacement.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be sent in writing to [email protected]. The effective time stamp is when your email reaches that inbox, based on Hungarian local time. 60 days or more before arrival: Full refund of all amounts paid. 30 to 59 days before arrival: 50 % refund of all amounts paid. Within 29 days of arrival: No refund. Any tourist tax (IFA) paid in advance is always refunded in full when a booking is cancelled.

Refund Policy

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method—Stripe card or bank transfer—within 14 days of cancellation confirmation. Refunds are made in the exact HUF amount originally received; exchange‑rate differences or issuer fees are the guest's responsibility. In situations of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters or government pandemic restrictions), the host may grant a full refund at their discretion on a case‑by‑case basis.

Liability & Damages

Maximum occupancy is 6 guests. The host accepts no responsibility for loss or theft of personal belongings or valuables; no safe is provided. Guests must use the property responsibly and comply with house rules and local regulations. Any damage or excessive cleaning will be charged to the lead guest, who agrees to pay within 7 days of notice. All bookings are governed by Hungarian law, and any disputes will be settled by the competent Hungarian courts.

Promotions & Discounts

From time to time, the host offers promotional rates (such as early‑bird, last‑minute, or long‑stay discounts). These apply only to bookings made and paid during the stated promotion period. Only one promotion code may be used per booking, and codes must be entered in the promo‑code field at checkout. All other terms of this Booking Policy remain in force.
