Day 1 – Szarvas: the Arboretum and Mini Hungary

Start your weekend in Szarvas with an autumn walk through the Szarvas Arboretum, also known as Pepi Garden. Its mature trees, waterside paths and colourful autumn foliage make this an especially atmospheric time of year to visit.

Inside the grounds you will also find Mini Hungary, an interactive miniature park featuring models of famous Hungarian landmarks.

Day 2 – Discover Békésszentandrás

At the Bordűr Carpet Museum, you can discover the century-old carpet-weaving tradition of Békésszentandrás and learn how the town's celebrated carpets were created.

Day 3 – Nature at Körösvölgyi Animal Park

Before heading home, visit the Körösvölgyi Animal Park and Visitor Centre in nearby Szarvas.

Run by Körös–Maros National Park, the park introduces visitors to animal species native to the Carpathian Basin and the natural environment of the Körös region.
